Cookie Policy

Updated

1. Introduction

Roccai ApS (“Roccai”, “we”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website www.roccai.com (the “Website”). This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones we use and why, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes how we process personal data more generally.

This policy covers visitors to www.roccai.com. Our application at app.roccai.com and the embeddable Roccai guide widget are covered separately.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences (such as your cookie choices) and help us understand how the Website is used. “Similar technologies” includes things like local storage and tracking pixels; we refer to all of them as “cookies” in this policy. We use both first-party cookies (set by Roccai) and third-party cookies (set by our service providers, e.g. Google and Meta).

3. How we ask for your consent

The first time you visit, a consent banner lets you Accept all, Reject all, or Customize by category. Until you make a choice, only strictly necessary cookies are used and all non-essential technologies are held in a “denied” state (using Google Consent Mode v2), so nothing analytical runs before you decide.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by clicking the cookie icon in the corner of any page. We store your choice in a first-party cookie for up to 180 days, after which we ask again. We also ask again after a material change to this policy.

4. Cookies we use

4.1 Strictly necessary (always active)

These cookies are required for the Website to function and to record your cookie choice. They do not require your consent.

  • roccai_consent — Roccai (first-party). Stores your cookie consent choices and the policy version, so we do not ask on every visit. Expires after 180 days.

4.2 Analytics (only with your consent)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Website — such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and referral source — so we can improve it. These cookies are set only after you consent to analytics.

  • _ga — Google. Distinguishes unique visitors. Expires after 2 years.
  • _ga_KTEX… — Google. Persists Google Analytics 4 session state. Expires after 2 years.

Before you consent (or if you reject analytics): Google Analytics sets no cookies. However, because of how Consent Mode works, your browser may still send Google an anonymous, cookieless signal that a page loaded (including your IP address and referrer). This is not stored on your device, is not used to identify you, and no advertising or cross-site profile is built from it.

4.3 Marketing

We use two marketing tools. Neither one is loaded, and neither receives any data about your visit, unless you consent to marketing:

  • Apollo.io — a B2B visitor-identification service that recognises the companies and visitors browsing our site, so our team can follow up with relevant sales and marketing.
  • Meta Pixel — Meta’s measurement and advertising tag for Facebook and Instagram. It lets us see which visits and actions follow from our ads, and lets us build audiences for advertising and remarketing. Each page you view on the Website is sent to Meta together with an identifier for your browser.

What we tell Meta about your visit: the pages you view, and when a visit turns into an action — viewing a use case or a customer case, submitting your details in a guide, booking a demo, signing up for our newsletter, or searching the site. For a site search we also send the search term, unless it looks like an email address. We never send the details you fill in: no name, email address, phone number, or guide answers.

The cookies these tools use:

  • _fbp — Meta (first-party, set on roccai.com by the Meta Pixel). Identifies your browser so ad performance can be measured and advertising audiences built. Expires after 90 days.
  • Apollo.io cookies — Apollo (first-party). Recognise returning visitors so our team can see which companies are interested in Roccai.
  • fr and other Meta cookies on facebook.com — set by Meta, not by us. If you are signed in to Facebook or Instagram, your browser may already carry these, and Meta can read them when the pixel contacts it. You control them in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings.

If you reject marketing — or before you have made a choice — neither tool is loaded: no _fbp cookie is set, and no request is sent to Meta or Apollo.

5. Third parties and international transfers

When you consent to analytics or marketing, or when you interact with the demo-booking tool, personal data may be shared with the providers below. All are based in the United States. Transfers are safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and, where the provider is certified, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (DPF).

  • Google (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC) — provides our website analytics (Google Analytics 4). Data is shared only if you accept analytics cookies.
  • HubSpot, Inc. — provides the meeting-scheduling tool behind our “Book a demo” buttons. HubSpot sets its own cookies only when you open the booking popup.
  • Apollo.io (Apollo, United States) — B2B visitor-identification for our sales and marketing. Loads and shares data only if you accept marketing cookies.
  • Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd / Meta Platforms, Inc. — provides the Meta Pixel for ad measurement and remarketing on Facebook and Instagram. Data is shared only if you accept marketing cookies.

6. How to manage or delete cookies

  • On this Website: click the cookie icon on any page to reopen your settings and change or withdraw consent.
  • In your browser: you can block or delete cookies via your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Website from working, and clearing cookies removes your saved consent choice (so the banner will reappear).

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies changes. Material changes reset your stored consent and prompt the banner again. Please revisit this page to stay informed.
